Our activities
From its centrally located Boeldershoek site in Hengelo and the Elhorst Vloedbelt site in Zenderen, Twence is able to offer a wide range of waste-processing options to municipalities (primarily in Twente) as well as to waste-collection companies throughout the (EUREGIO) region.

Twence is happy to serve municipalities in an advisory and coordinating role and by carrying out projects such as waste-sorting trials. In line with its corporate-social responsibility, Twence also offers on-site excursions for a range of groups including elementary schools as well as other (educational) institutions and organisations.

Our scope

Twence guarantees high-grade waste processing in terms of its impact on the environment. We are proud to form a highly efficient and environmentally friendly link in the waste-elimination chain. Our activities are not only necessary for the wellbeing of our society as a whole but also beneficial thanks to the electricity we generate and because the vast majority of the residual waste is made suitable for reuse.More

The technical side of waste processing

The facilities at Twence are of exceptionally high quality. The waste-to-energy (WTE) incineration plant is one of the most modern in the Netherlands and among the finest in the world. The Twence landfill was the first in the Netherlands to qualify for ISO certification. And the waste-sorting plant for oversized household and commercial waste was built with state-of-the-art technology.More
